The Loves of My Life
My First Love is JESUS CHRIST. He has loved me, even though I did nothing to deserve it. He has forgiven me, because He is so gracious. He has provided for me, because He is the great provider. He counsels me, because He has all wisdom. He protects me, because He is greater than all. He has healed me, because He is the great healer. He has taught me how to forgive, because He is the author of forgiveness. He walks with me, simply because He enjoys me. He is the most amazing part of my life. He is my God, my Lord and my King. He is my Judge, my Redeemer, my big brother, and my very best friend. He is indescribable, all powerful, yet gentle and meek. He is complete foolishness to the majority of the world and so I say COUNT ME A FOOL, for I am IN LOVE WITH HIM. He is Jesus Christ, the son of God, the name above all names, who loved you and I so much, that he endured death on cross, and only asks that we believe in Him, trust Him and Obey Him, in order to have the incredible gift of Eternal Life, which is to KNOW both he and God, the Father.
My Second and Most Important Earthly Love is my FIVE AMAZING Children!
Tyler, Chelsea, Nathan, Ashley and Kaley. These are my “little ducks”. Ask anyone that knows them…these are the most incredible kids they have ever met. God must have known, if we were going to have five, they had to be the best! These kids are an absolute force to be reckoned with and I have instant celebrity status, anywhere I go with them….”Are those ALL yours?”…LOL! God has done an amazing job, preserving them through the divorce, and I am so blessed that they have ALL FIVE of each other. They are always a “crowd” and never alone…that gives me peace. There is NO GREATER feeling in the world than when it’s time for them to visit Dad and they all come over screaming and squealing…”Daddy…Daddy…Daddy”. Hearing that from five children that are ALL yours, has to be the most incredible experience in life. Sometimes, I’ll be sitting there at dinner with them and all of a sudden think “Wow…these really are ALL my kids…how cool is that?” LOL!
Of course, they have said, like most children do of their parents, “You’re the best Dad in the world”, but by far the greatest compliment I have ever received in my life, came from my five year old, Nathan (the one in the two pics on the right). One day, he stopped me and said “Dad, I really like you!” That was the show stopper!
