I feel haunted by the fact that there are so many incredible "God Stories" out there, like this, that aren't being told and aren't bringing God his Glory. Not to mention how encouraging these stories are to the rest of us. I'm going to put a separate site up, dedicated just to these God Stories and see what the Lord may want to do with this. God saved him from death twice and it took cleansing by fire (literally) to capture his heart and mind. This story is like one you might read about in the scriptures..miraculous, dramatic, unbelievable. I have no doubt there are many other stories out there similarly astonishing that just have not been captured and told. God has given you a purpose Michael and that is to tell these stories so we will all know the power and love of God. What an amazing story! Thank you for sharing. Although my story does not include a devastating divorce, our healing journey is similar in so many ways. I really get what you are saying. From experiencing God on a deeper, more intimate and powerful level than perhaps few people ever experience (which happened only because of the healing journey), to experiencing freedom through grieving and forgiving and so many other things in between. Praying for you Michael, as you continue on this journey and as God continues to restore to you all that the locusts have eaten (as described in the book of Joel). God bless you!! I have received many of your emails and often times just skip over them but for some reason (the Holy Spirit working within me) I opened this one up. What a profound way of looking at things. Love the cookie analogy. How right you are that we as humans constantly demand to understand and know as if God has to answer to us in all of our "why me" moments. Yet if we were put under a spotlight, how sinful and selfish we would look. We are so blessed to receive the grace of God and our biggest hope is an eternity with him in heaven. Hi Michael.
